         Subject:– Instructions regarding conducting special

                   clearing operation on the evening of 31^st

                            March 2006. 

         The Principal Chief Controller of Accounts has requested Reserve Bank of India to issue instruction to Banks for conducting special clearing operation on the evening of 31^st March 2006.

         In view of above all importers, Exporters, Customs House Agents, Shipping Agents and Members of the Trades are advised to deposit all payments made by   cheques by 30^th March or latest by 11:00AM on 31^st March 2006 so that these can be realised on 31^st itself. They may ensure that funds are available for clearance of cheques on 31^st March for the special evening clearance.

         All the Trade Associations/Chamber of Commerce/Members of Regional Advisory Committees and Custom House Agents’ Association are requested to publicize the contents of this Public Notice among their members/constituents.
