PUBLIC NOTICE NO. 45/2010

Sub: Registration of Vessel Profile for the MP & SEZ, Mundra in ICES 1.5.

            With the implementation of the centralized application (ICES 1.5) at ports affiliated to IPA, a message exchange system has been set up whereby vessel profile of the vessels which call at the port are electronically communicated from the Port Community System through ICEGATE to the centralized application.

 2.        The above arrangement, however, is not in place for MP & SEZ, Mundra which is so far not affiliated to IPA. Therefore, in order to facilitate capturing of vessel profile into the ICES 1.5 system, a form is being provided in the menu of the system manager.  This facility would allow entry of details of vessel profile of those vessels which are not part of the central directory of vessel profile. Details of vessels already registered in the system are available at http://www.ipa.nic.in/edi_direc_vc.asp. It may be noted that if the vessel has in the past called on any of the IPA affiliated port and that the vessel profile is already available in the system, then no fresh entry would be permitted by the system and an appropriate message would be flashed upon submission of duplicate data.

 3.        Accordingly, Shipping Lines, Mainline Agents, Sub-line Agents, Freight Forwarders and Consol Agents are advised to submit the vessel profile details as per enclosed form in Annex-I to the designated Customs officer for entering the vessel profile in the ICES system. They are also advised to first check up in the system if the vessel profile already exists.

4.         Finally, it may also be noted that this facility would be automatically be withdrawn as and when the port gets affiliated to IPA.
