               Subject:- Implementation of Right to information Act, 2005 –

                                Designation of Central Public Information Officers (CPIO) and

                              Appellate Authority within the jurisdiction of Kachchh

                              Commissionerate – Regarding   

              

Attention of all Importers, Exporters, Custom House Agents, Shipping Agents, Member of the Trade and Public at large is invited to the Office Order dated 14.07.2005 and subsequent Office Orders dated 16.12.2005, 24.07.2006, 09.08.2006, 02.09.2009 and Public Notices No.-65/2006, dated 06.10.2006; 42/2007, dated 10.10.2007 and 47/2007, dated 29.11.2007, issued from F. No.-S/20-24/2005-Appg(Gen) by this office, vide which the information regarding Central Public Information Officers (CPIO) / Central Assistant Public Information Officers (CAPIO) working in this Commissionerate was publicized / amended from time to time.

 

2.         On account of transfer and rotation of various Public Information Officers (CPIO) / Appellate Authority of this Commissionerate, a need has arisen to redesignate / appoint CPIOs / Appellate Authority under the said Act. Accordingly, in suppression of the above mentioned Office Orders and Public Notices, a revised list of CPIOs / Appellate Authority in respect of Kachchh Commissionerate is attached to this Public Notice.

 

3.         All the Trade Associations/ Chamber of Commerce/ Member of Regional Advisory Committee/ Custom House Agents Association/ Shipping Agents and all concerned are requested to publicize the contents of this Public Notice among their members/constituents for their information and necessary action.

5.         They are further informed that the requisite application fee for seeking information under RTI Act, 2005 as prescribed vide the Right to Information (Regulation of Fee & Cost) Rules, 2005, as amended, can be paid by way of Cash to the concerned CPIO against proper receipt or by Demand Draft / Bankers Cheque / Indian Postal Order which should be made payable to the “Commissioner of Customs, Kandla” in respect of all the above mentioned CPIOs / Appellate Authority, and should accompany the application.
