Sub:Valuation practice of second hand machinery to be adopted by all Custom Houses/ Customs Commissionerates-reg.

Attention of all concerned is invited to the Board’s Circular No. 04/2008-Customs dated 12.02.2008 regarding “Valuation practice of second hand machinery to be adopted by all Custom Houses/ Customs Commissionerates”.

In case the importer is not being able to produce the proper Load Port Certificate, he may contact the Chartered Engineers for issuance of CE Certificate and the same should be accepted by the concerned officers of this Commissionerate. In terms of para 8(c) of the above circular, I hereby notify the following Chartered Engineers for valuation of second hand machinery. The address and contact numbers are given hereunder.
