Sub: Verification
of Clearance Certificate from MMD, Kandla/Jamnagar
for single voyage to IV barges, Towing, Grain loading and for the detained vessels
prior issuing the Port Clearance.
The attention of
all Vessel Agents and all concerned is invited regarding the requirement of
more statutory Certificates/permissions etc now than what is mentioned in the
Merchant Shipping Act1958.
Accordingly verification
of certificates/clearances besides which are already done by this office are as
follows:
1.
Statutory Certificates
(a)
ISPS Certificate
(b)
Safety management Certificate.
(c)
Copy of Document of Compliance under ISM
2.
Clearance Certificates from MMD/DGS
(a)
Grain loading Permissions for the cargo falling
under Grain Loading Code/ MS Act 1958
(b)
Towing permissions to tugs and barges till further
information
(c)
Single Voyage Permission to IV Barges/Tugs/Vessels
(d)
Dangerous Cargo Loading Permission for the IMDG
Code Cargo.
3.
Release order by MMDs for
the vessels detained under the provisions of M.S.Act
1958.
4.
P & I insurance coverage and any other
insurance requirement of the ports.
All the Vessel
Agents are requested to publicize the contents of this Public Notice among
their members/constituents.
